Demo Plant Technicians will be responsible for executing Demo plant operations at Joule’s facility in Hobbs, New Mexico, including interfacing with computer control systems according to standard operating procedures and batch protocol. They will be accountable for informing the Lead and/or Bioprocessing engineers when production problems arise.  They will work 8-hour shifts and therefore be responsible for keeping on-coming technicians informed of the current status of processes and the tasks that must be undertaken in subsequent shifts. The position is based in Hobbs, New Mexico, full time.

This individual will conduct in-process testing, including pH, conductivity, and temperature measurements, as needed in solution preparation. The Central Services/Media Prep Technician will perform titration of buffers and media as needed and be responsible for cleaning glassware and various components associated with bioreactors at Joule's facility in Hobbs, New Mexico. These categorical exclusions will allow the Forest Service to more efficiently analyze and document the potential environmental effects of soil and water restoration projects that are intended to: (1) restore the flow of waters into natural channels and floodplains by removing water control structures, such as dams, levees, dikes, ditches, culverts, pipes, and drainage tiles; (2) restore lands and habitat to pre-disturbance conditions, to the extent practicable, by removing debris, sediment, and hazardous conditions following disturbance events; and (3) restore lands occupied by roads and trails, excluding National Forest System roads and National Forest System trails, to natural conditions.
