2016 WUI Grant Program by Lisa Escudero, last updated: Jun 19, 2015 11:37 AM: New Mexico State Forestry is seeking applications for funding for hazardous fuels mitigation projects through the 2016 WUI Grant program. The documents can be downloaded from the Forestry Division’s website: http://www.emnrd.state.nm.us/SFD/RFPs/RFPMain.html. The deadline for applications is August 14. Soil and Water Conservation Districts should work with their local State Forestry District Office to develop their project proposals. They can find a map with contact information by going to www.nmforestry.com and clicking on “contact us”.

This position will assist Camp Supervisor in the administration and coordination of the Inmate Work Camp Program. This position will ensure uniform application of policies, procedures and laws relating to the use of inmates to conduct emergency activities and natural resource projects. This position will also provide professional and technical assistance to Inmate Work Camp (IWC) staff, Forestry Employees, Cooperators and Minimum Security Inmates.
