The 18th International Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation of Wood Symposium to be held on September 24-27, 2013
in Madison, WI is a forum for those involved in nondestructive testing
and evaluation of wood, wood-based materials and products.

today to present a paper and/or a technical poster at this Symposium,
which is also celebrating its 50th year with some very special events.
You will be sharing your research with the international
nondestructive testing and evaluation research community, users of
various nondestructive testing technologies, equipment development and
manufacturing professionals, and representatives from various government
agencies and other groups to share research findings and new products
and technologies. Networking among participants will foster new
collaborative efforts, with an emphasis on implementation of
nondestructive testing technologies around the globe.

Submission Guidelines
Submit your abstract
through the online form. Your abstract must be 250 words or less. We
will ask you for your co-authors, listed in order of seniority; for any
keywords to assist in searching within the electronic Symposium
Proceedings; and whether your submission is for a paper, a poster, or

Presentation Guidelines
Oral Presentation
A full-length paper is required for each oral presentation. Your paper
will be published in the Symposium Proceedings. After acceptance, we
will let you know how to submit your paper.
Poster Presentation
All posters are displayed in a large room. Each poster display space
is 4 feet by 8 feet (1.2m x 2.4m), which allows plenty of room for
important poster elements, such as an abstract, key points, conclusions,
charts, and tables or diagrams. You will have dedicated time at the
Symposium to present your poster to attendees.
Symposium Proceedings
The proceedings will be published in an electronic format by the USDA
Forest Products Laboratory. It will contain papers from authors giving
oral presentations and abstracts from authors presenting technical
posters.
