I am particularly seeking contributions giving a current overview of some paricularly relevant subtopic such as water law, resources, uses and abuses, treatment and delivery, conservatition and reclamation, and long range forecasting. I would also be interested in articles based on current research relevant to water needs and problems in New Mexico.
The Academy published a Journal volume on a similar theme entitled “Water Resources Issues in New Mexico” in 1998.
Submissions should generally not exceed about 6000 words in length including title, abstract, and references. All articles will be subject to peer review. There are no page charges. The Journal will be published in late 2012 and will probably contain about twenty articles.
If you know of anyone who might be interested in submitting an article on their work please provide me with a name and email address and I will contact them. Alternatively, ask them to them contact me at kurt@nmsu.edu, particularly if they have questions about the Journal or its contents. I will provide potential contributors with additional submission information, formatting and style guidelines, etc..
