AWRA 47th Annual Water Resources Conference

AWRA is returning to Albuquerque, New Mexico, for their 47th Annual Water Resources Conference.  The AWRA Annual Conference is host to a multidisciplinary group of water resources professionals who gather to present their latest research, discuss current hot topics, and share new ideas. Conference attendance is generally 400-500 people.

The AWRA Annual Conference has always provided a forum for participants to explore the many multidisciplinary aspects of water resources research, policy and management.  In addition to the broad array of topics offered in the past, the 2011 Annual Conference includes over 35 Special Sessions to choose from.  The Special Sessions have been organized by water resources professionals from across the country; topics are timely and relevant, and reflect the diverse interests of AWRA members.

The Conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Albuquerque, conveniently located within walking distance of several local restaurants, and with easy access to major transportation corridors including the Rail Runner train to Santa Fe and the Rapid Ride bus to the University area.

The Conference will include oral and poster sessions, several panels, plenary speakers, field trips, short courses, networking events, and student activities.  Attendees will enjoy opportunities to have conversations about the many multidisciplinary aspects of water resources, and to make connections that will improve their understanding of the complex water issues of importance everywhere.  Hope to see you in Albuquerque!
