This notice is to inform you of an available Request for Proposals issued by the State Of New Mexico.

NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS- RFP #50-550-14-00636 Galisteo Creek Restoration Project

The New Mexico Office of the State Engineer (OSE) is requesting competitive sealed proposals for the procurement of services to plan, design and construct a river restoration project on Galisteo Creek in Santa Fe County in the area of the Village of Galisteo.  All potential Offerors are to read, understand, and accept the requirements of the Request for Proposals (RFP). The RFP was issued on August 29, 2014, and proposals are due to the State Purchasing Division on October 3, 2014.  Potential Offerors should submit an Acknowledgement of Receipt Form as directed in the RFP.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The New Mexico State Legislature passed Laws 2013 Chapter 226, Section 21, Subsection 8, that provide an appropriation from the severance tax bond funds to the Office of the State Engineer (OSE) in the amount of eighty two thousand dollars ($82,000) “to plan, design and construct river restoration on Galisteo Creek in Santa Fe County.”  The project will be managed by the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) pursuant to a Memorandum of Understanding with the OSE.  With this Request for Proposals (RFP), NMED and OSE are seeking a Contractor to accomplish the project described in the legislative appropriation.  For the purposes of this project, river restoration means restoring or improving the water quality, physical hydrology and ecology of a river.
