Funding Opportunity: BIA Resilience Funding Opportunity for Tribal Organizations
The BIA's Tribal Resilience Program is pleased to announce the availability of funding for tribal projects that support tribal resilience as tribes incorporate the science (including Traditional Knowledge) and technical information to prepare for extreme events and harmful environmental trends that impact tribal treaty and trust resources, economies, infrastructure, and human health and welfare. Funding is also available for tribal projects that support ocean and coastal management planning. See the solicitation on grants.gov, as Funding Opportunity Number: BIA 1800-0001, ( https://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=305465). Eligibility is limited to not-for-profit, non-governmental tribal organizations and associations, and tribally-controlled colleges and universities (TCUs), collectively referred to as “tribal organization(s)” in the announcement. The deadline for applications is 7/12/2018.
Note: A previous and separate funding announcement specifically for federally recognized tribes was released on 5/9/18 (closing 7/2/18) and is available on grants.gov as Funding Opportunity Number: BIA 1800-0002, (https://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=304843).
