New Mexico State Forestry is seeking applications for funding for hazardous fuels mitigation projects through the 2016 WUI Grant program. The Energy, Mineral & Natural Resources Department Forestry Inmate Work Camp (IWC) is seeking applicants for a Crew Supervisor in Los Lunas, New Mexico. This position will coordinate and supervise minimum security inmates while working on Natural Resource Conservation Projects, Emergency Activities, Wild land Fire, Planned Fire (Prescribed - Rx), and District Support projects. This position will assist Camp Supervisor in the administration and coordination of the Inmate Work Camp Program. This position will ensure uniform application of policies, procedures and laws relating to the use of inmates to conduct emergency activities and natural resource projects. This position will also provide professional and technical assistance to Inmate Work Camp (IWC) staff, Forestry Employees, Cooperators and Minimum Security Inmates. The New Mexico Environment Department’s Surface Water Quality Bureau is requesting proposals for On-the-Ground [OTG] Surface Water Quality Improvement Projects. The Request for Proposals [RFP] was released on May 28, 2015, with proposals due by 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 9. We are looking for a seasonal, part-time candidate to assist with street and park tree inventory. An internship is also a possibility for anyone seeking that requirement for school. See attached description. We'd like to finish interviews in 3 weeks (mid-May at latest). The pay range is flexible and could be a little higher rate if the candidate is a contractor on a 1099 status. We're pretty flexible on level of experience, what # of hours and which days each week, etc. And we could likely pay for this person's ISA Certification if they're interested.
