Forest Products - Into the Future Conference: Structural wood tech, bioproduct derivatives, cellulosic fibre

Join us for Forest Products – Into the Future, the two-day conference and annual meeting of the Forest Products Society Eastern Canadian Section, being held October 31 to November 1, 2012 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. For those who can’t join onsite - we will have live web streaming. Come and learn about the latest structural wood product technologies; what is coming from bioproduct derivatives; and how work at the molecular level will affect the future use of cellulosic fibre. Join us for Forest Products – Into the Future, the two-day conference and annual meeting of the Forest Products Society Eastern Canadian Section, being held October 31 to November 1, 2012 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. For those who can’t join onsite - we will have live web streaming.

Come and learn about the latest structural wood product technologies; what is coming from bioproduct derivatives; and how work at the molecular level will affect the future use of cellulosic fibre. Topics include:

The first day will wrap up with a student poster contest and networking reception.

 

Day two is a tour of three facilities: two Resolute plants - a state of the art sawmill and a lignin biorefinery; and the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Transportation and box-lunch will be provided. Only 20 seats are available for this tour, so register now.
